As part of its business relations with customers, partners and institutional contacts, KPpay can offer and receive gifts. These practices, common in many countries and sectors, are also a marketing and communication tool. However, they must be kept within reasonable limits to preserve KPpay's integrity.
The purpose of this policy is to formalize and disseminate clear rules that comply with ethical and regulatory standards, in order to ensure transparent interactions and maintain KPpay's reputation. The following rules are designed to strengthen relationships without compromising our integrity.
KPpay's gift policy is based on four principles:
Transparency : Gifts or invitations must be offered or received openly, without the intention of influencing professional decisions or creating a sense of accountability.
Compliance : Gifts must comply with current regulations and conform to KPpay's ethical and anti-corruption policies.
Occasional : Gifts or invitations must be occasional and not become recurrent.
Non-sensitive periods : No gifts or invitations should be offered or accepted during “sensitive” periods, such as calls for tender, negotiations or contract renewals.
The following persons are authorized to offer business gifts on behalf of KPpay :
All KPpay employees are entitled to receive promotional gifts (goodies) within the financial thresholds set, with the exception of executive management, who may only accept goodies of modest value.

The types of gifts employees can receive include:
Low-value advertising goodies ;
Products and services of partners or customers , up to the set thresholds;
Professional invitations : meals, parties or entertainment related to KPpay's business.
Advertising goodies and other KPpay products : maximum of 50,000 FCFA per customer/partner per year.
Professional invitations (meals, parties, entertainment) : up to 50,000 FCFA per person per year.
Advertising goodies : up to 50,000 FCFA per agent per year
Products/Services from partners or customers: maximum of 50,000 FCFA per agent per year.
Professional invitations : limit of 50,000 FCFA per agent per year.
Note : Thresholds are cumulative over a financial year per customer or partner.
Certain practices are excluded from KPpay's gift policy:
Prohibitions: Cash, electronic gifts (USB sticks, connected objects) and private trips paid for by partners are strictly forbidden.
Conflicts of interest: No employee should accept gifts that could lead to dependence on a supplier or partner.
Sensitive periods: Any gift received during a tender, consultation or contract negotiation must be refused and returned.
Limited acceptance: Gifts can be accepted only if they are of moderate and occasional value.
Justification for invitations: Invitations must be related to professional objectives (e.g. promotion of services or signing of contracts).
Mandatory declaration: Any gift received or offered, even if refused, must be recorded in the gift register.
Obligation to declare: Employees must declare any gifts or invitations offered or received to their executive assistant.
Gift register: Executive assistants keep a manual or digital gift register.
Any failure to comply with KPpay's gift policy constitutes professional misconduct and may result in disciplinary action up to and including legal proceedings.
